Yes, that’s a baby black bear :) We got to go visit the Bear Research Center here today and hold the little baby bears while they were measuring and weighing them. It was so much fun!
We got to go last year, too, but the bears we held today were so much smaller than the ones last year!
Here’s a comparison shot from last year:
So much smaller, but still super cute.
Here’s a few more for fun!
Nick and the baby bear!
He was ready for his close up! He kept getting closer to my camera :)
And one of the funniest pictures today – this is my friend Vanessa from work holding one – so cute.
I did not want to leave!!! We only stayed there about 30 minutes, I guess, and there was a large group of kids there, too so we didn’t get to hold them as much as the last time – but so fun. I wish this was my job every day! Just playing with baby bears :)
Of course, after my eventful morning, I was starving and ready for lunch when it came around. Nick and I decided to go to Sal’s, which just opened up here about a month or so ago. Nick got a salad with his meal and he let me have half.
For my meal, I decided to try their veggie pizza pop, which is basically their calzone without the ricotta.
Oh my goodness. This thing was SO dougy! and it tasted like fresh dough, too. It wasn’t greasy at all – just the way I like it. This had ” broccoli, eggplant, mozzarella cheese, spinach, garlic, romano cheese” and came with some marinara for dipping.
I ate about 2/3 of it and have the rest for later :)
All in all, a good day so far!
See you for dinner!
